The nice thing is that, while NOS tubes aren't always easy to find for the LB, they can be found cheap and still sound quite good. I guess you could always break the cheap rule by hunting down a Bendix for the driver tube but upgraditus hasn't hit me this hard yet.

I think you'll be hard-pressed to spend more than $6 to replace the 6N24P but I'm not an expert by any means and could be wrong about this.

Criterion at a choice tubes:
- quality of a sound
- presence of analogues
- availability
These tubes in the USA and Russia had military purpose and were issued with high quality.

(Russian 6N24P are issued at a factory in Kaluga (Russia), 6N3P - very accessible tube)
