The D-EJ2000.
Fits in my jacket pocket (the first CD player ever to do so). Limited power but no worse than Sony MD (not as good as my Sharp MD though). I can't use the PXC250 to good effect without an amp but the D22 and the EM7 work fine.
So it's probably a time to get a good closed headphone which works with these... I did see this thing called a Bose Triport on display, does anyone know anything about them

Um... Could we please have an irony icon?

Anyway on the whole I'm really happy with this. I even got it for cheaper than the price that everyone else was selling the D-EJ1000 at, which makes me even happier.
I say on the whole and I am generally happy, but there is one major problem. The bass boost sucks.
No, let me say that again... The bass boost[size=medium] S

Bangraman...

Next time we meet up, can we compare EJ1000 and EJ2000 side by side amped, and unamped?

I saw them on TCR... Cheapest place I saw was a computer shop pretty much opposite ASK, for £146... might be worth picking one up if its not so bad... just for these 99min CDRs I bought

Williamgoody...

I beat you by two minutes

I think that the only EJ1000 Bangraman has heard is mine (although I could obviously be wrong) and hopefully I, or both of us can work out the differences at the end of the month...

Of course if i'm wrong, then i'm as keen as you are to see what the differences are

I got mine in London, but there is a link here

I bought some 'inifiti professional' CDRs that are rated at 32x, my burner can burn them up to 40x, and I've burnt stably at 24x all the way up to 99min11sec... and they're playable on the majority of the CD players in the house

I'm pretty sure that they'll be fine on the new generation Sonys

Oh, and they hold 900mb of data too

What, my quote, my avatar, or both? The avatar is from my Food For Woofers CD cover.

It was indeed Duncan's EJ1000 I heard. It didn't offend me at all. In fact what made me want the V6 or equivalent was the brief taste of... er. Celine Dion on the EJ1000 and the Altoids amp, I think it was. The other blue one did offend my ears however. The EJ2000 wins for portability, although it may not be as good as my MD. I like my other 'new' CDP, the D-141 for amp power and sound, it's a lot like the Sharp MD but it's just not practical. It skips even when I'm plugging in another headphone!

I totally agree with the fact that almost all bass boost circuits in newer PCDPs are crappy.
Wait... Let me re-phrase this: Almost all bass boost circuits in newer PCDPs are[size=medium] C
