Just bought one. Anyone have any experience with these bluetooth headsets?? Please tell me I made a decent purchase?!

You made a great purchase!

I've had one for a few months, and love it.

I tried about 8 different BT headsets over the past year, and this was the winner. I went through the top end stuff from Plantronics, Motorola, and Nokia before I got this. It's the only one that the person I'm calling can actually hear me, and not what's going on around me.

The rated talk time of 6 hours is a bit ambitious, but I'd say I easily get around 4 to 4.5 out of it. I'm not sure the total standby time because I usually turn it off when I'm not using it. I'm not one of those people that wear it around all day long just for the sake of wearing it.

I've only got a couple of complaints about it, though it's more like a wishlist. It doesn't have a mute button on the headset. That would be a very welcomed feature. It doesn't handle call waiting. At least it doesn't seem to with my phone (Sanyo 8400).

Neither of those issues are enough to turn me off to it though, and it's the headset I recommend to people when asked.

One thing I will tell you though as a new Jawbone owner/user. Spend a good amount of time trying out the different eartips and earhooks. It took me a while to find one that fit comfortably, and put the headset in the right position. Most people can probably get away with default tip that's installed in the packaging. I use custom tips for my iems too, so maybe it's just an ear shape thing for me.

Excellent Bluetooth headset and the only one I've found to be long term usable. My experience mirrors Jeff's, i.e. the other ones I've tried have had call quality issues for the person on the receiving end.

Thanks guys! JeffS, when you said you use customs, are you using customs for the JB as well?

No, I ment I use customs for my IEMs, UM2 and UM1 in my case. I only mentioned it, because I had an issue finding a good comfortable fit with regular stock tips. That might have been why it took a bit of playing around to find just the right fit with the tips for the Jawbone.

The thing just works as advertised. Mates perfectly with my iPhone. Hurray!

Chiming in late on this, but I just picked up a Jawbone. It's already worth the price. It's so clear, and amazing. No one hears anythingaround me! Brilliant!

Only time it doesn't work well, is when I'm driving with windows down. I guess wind noise is the fly in the ointment, the ant at the picnic, the lost heat-shield during re-entry, etc.
