Hey everyone,

I would like to try the tube sound and was considering the Schiit Valhalla.  My most often used headphones are the Q701s, but also Grado SR80i's and Sennheiser HD25s and HD595s.  I have searched around and have gotten conflicting statements in various threads about using tubes, particularely the Valhalla with the Q701s.  Some have said it's no good because it is an OTL amp and those aren't very good for low impedence headphones.  Others have said that the Valhalla was voiced for the 701 series and are great.  So which do you all think it is?  If it isn't good, would there be another tube amp around the same price that would work well, or are tubes just a no go for the Q701s?
