Akg k712 vs Aeon Flow Open

I have had both and settled on the Aeon Flow Open. There is no comparison really. The Aeon wins in comfort, fit, style, and sound. The K712 is clunky in the fit and really designed for larger heads. The earcups never stay perfectly centered over my ears. The K712 is bright-sounding with too much treble emphasis and lack of bass. It has little bass impact. It also leaks way more sound than the Aeon.

The Aeon sounds slightly on the dark side of neutral with emphasis in the midrange, but just slightly. The planar driver delivers excellent bass control and extension and having an open design makes it more controlled than the K712.

I give the AFO my highest recommendation especially driven from a good amp.
