I’m asking this for a friend.

He wants to buy his first quality headphones and has chosen the K240s. They are a classic, cheap, etc.

He is tight on money and currently debating between the Studio and the Mk II.

The price difference is only 10 Euros, but he has the following questions:

- is the Mk II and the Studio the same exact headphones sound-wise or they are tuned differently?

- if sound-wise they are exactly the same, does the extra MK II’s velour pads change the sound compared to the standard pleather ones? If so, what changes? Does the 240 become more mellower, more bass, more highs or is just a mater of comfort?

Thanks!

They're the same headphone. The velour pads have smaller openings so not as comfortable, the sound becomes more midrange forward and intimate with the velours.
