AKG K1000 and CEC HDR53 V8 LEF

I wonder if its possible to drive the K1000 on the HDR53's speaker-connectors.
Maybe someone tried this combo and can tell something about it.

Weird, but as a matter of fact I have. The CEC has enough juice to do it. Just barely though. With some low level SACD material, I had to maximize the volume. Still, what a great amp. It has been a fabulous tool to have.
