Hello all, I’m new here and I’m from Taiwan.

Recently, I dug up an old music player from home — the Ak.JR.
Although it doesn’t support streaming and has limited storage, I really enjoy its early design for being lightweight and portable.
The sound quality is clear and powerful, making it ideal for genres like pop (especially vocals and light music).

The software interface is intuitive, which has always been a highlight of this device. It keeps things simple without unnecessary interference.

When used directly without an external amp, the sound is crisp, clear, and far from rigid.
I’d recommend it for genres like J-pop, ACG, and jazz.

I too have a old AK240, sounds good too but no streaming functions.

I love my Astell&Kern portable. It drives my Abyss Diana phones fantastically. However, now that I am retired and don't carry it to work every day, I do not get to use it that often any more.
