Well in that case, if you assume that the gain resistors and the SA resistors are of the same type and quality, the difference would be between going through 2 resistors of lower resistance or 1 single resistor of equal resistance to the combination of the previous 2. In terms of the stuff the signal has to go through, there are a two more soldered connections and a tiny bit of circuit board in the second example but otherwise it's going through the same amount of 'innards of resistor'!
