Hi guys, I'm looking for some recommendations for African music, contemporary, old or otherwise. It's a very broad musical category that I know little about, so I'm looking for some cds that would be good introductions to this type of music (no compilations, unless exceptional). As always, good sounding cds are appreciated!

Thanks for the advice MacDEF. I will definitely try some choices from RealWorld Records eventually. I am looking for a couple of choices that would be available through columbia house if possible, since I am about to make a big order from them.
