Hello. I am looking for an amp that are suitable for both iem and headphone. I am currently using an acoustune hs1551, and I am planning on getting either a hd58X or he4XX. My budget for now is $200. Anyone has any idea of what I should get?

Oh and I forget to mention that I am using the ak70mkii as the source. So, I dont think a dac is a must(?).
Btw, should I get the hd58X or he4XX?

Why not just plug the HD58X and IEMs directly into the A&K's headphone jack?

Schiit Magni3 or Corda Rock. Although I'd much rather use the HD58X with the AK70 MkII now and just get a Meier Jazz FF later.
Thanks guys, I didnt know that the hd58X does not need an amp (I am very new to full size headphones).
I would refrain from a desktop amp for iems unless they are very insensitive.

I have the most sensitive IEMs on the planet and my Massdrop LCX+SDAC and Schiit Jotunheim are dead silent with them, not so much with everything else I've tried.

My HTC One phone can decently drive my 150-Ohm HD58X and I'm fairly sure your $500 A&K has a more powerful headphone amplifier. Thanks guys, I didn't know that the hd58X does not need an amp (I am very new to full size headphones).
(It better for that price)

Another way to put "not need" in that scenario is "I wouldn't hate it" or "I totally would not find it lethargic nor lacking in absolute volume level."
That said I'd run them on a Meier Jazz FF or something like that.
In other words...you can use it for now with your DAP, save the money and try a desktop amp later.
Oh and btw, should I get hd58X or he4XX? I heard good things about both of them.

HD58X has higher sensitivity so it will be easier to drive save for it you use anything that's totally limited by voltage so as far as driving either is concerned, that one would be less picky with amplifiers.
sony uda-1 which is very cheap in Asia.
A very new uda-1 could be under 250 dollars in Asia, but in America, that could be 500.

If i lived in Asia, I would check XDuoo, for a DAC/amp.Sony uda-1 which is very cheap in Asia.
