Hi, I've seen references to built in bass vents with foam inserts, and also references to tubes being added. It seems to have been popular back in the earlier days of HF with the DIY crowd, but, I can't find many specifics.
It seems like you need a closed or mostly closed back, and probably pretty firm pads. I'm interested if anybody has measurements on the bass behavior on the length/inner diameter of tubes (plastic, metal, etc.). Failing that, I'll take experienced perceptions of bass increases under 100 Hz.
