Does you F5 make any sort of " click" noise now and then ? My new F5s produce no rattle port noise or humming but a"click" noise from both speakers. My listening is low to low moderate level. The budget F line has 2 yrs warranty instead of 5 as in the X line, that concerns me since the " click" noise can lead to a bigger issue. I am thinking about sending them back but that is the last option. I remember some of my amps or AVR make such "click" noise when they warm up but then the " click" noise stop after a few minutes of playing. The Adam F 5 does not stop "click" one i a while from either speakers. It sounds like an expansion of the internal heat sink but I could be dead wrong.

BUMP! There must be some Adam F 5 in this web site. I wonder if Adam Audio cuts corner by shipping the F line oversea that is as a result the poor QC in the F series,

My F5s after a few minutes upon powering up automatically start to crackle inside the cabinet from one speaker then to another one. The crackle noise does not interfere with the SQ but this could lead to a bigger problem later on.

The crackle noise sounds like the sound metal expansion when it is hot. After the initial crackle, it does the click or pop now and then. Again, no interference with the sound quality.

I am a near field listener and my listening level is most of the time low to low moderate, I cannot see the overheating issue at low volume.

I hate to return bulky stuff but I may have to do so.

1. Bad or cheap transformer.
2. Bad electrolytic capacitors.
3. Bad lead jobs.

I am so lucky that I listen to the F5 at low level and near field position so I can hear the crackle, click, pop otherwise It would take me a while to detect the problem.

ANW, These budget F line from Adam Audio is a let down for me after I own the A3X and the A7X without a hick cups.
