ok im about to get it, i just had one question. is there any other alternatives out there that might be able to out do that emu 0404 for about 100 bucks. also is there a place to get it for cheaper the 100.

im not going to be using this card for recording or anything, just for pure listining pleasure.

If you live near a Guitar Center (nation-wide pro-audio chain) you can try calling them and saying you can find it on the internet for $85. That's what I did and after taxes mine came to $95.
