I was wondering if anyone had experience with all three or at least two of the headphones and could comment on them. Particularly the difference in bass impact between the three and value. Is the xd400 worth almost twice as much as the xd300? and how does the bass of the xd400 compare with the a500? Any help would be appreciated, thanks.

From what I have read on Head-Fi the XD300's aren't really recommended considering the minimal price difference between it and the XD400. Saying that, I would also like to know from anyone who has had any experience between the A500 and XD400, although the A500 is slightly more expensive I would be very interested if anyone has tried both and knew any differences.

Again from what I have read, another forum member who used to own a pair of A900s (sorry for the author, can't be bother finding your name) but bought a pair of XD400s, said the A900s had slighly recessed mids and if this is true, for vocal heavy music especially female vocals, which would be recommended?
