This line of products is obviously amazing but is there a «entry level» for this kind of quality?

Amicalement

That would be the 301 cd (which they do not make anymore) and the current 302 cd.

Notice the se platter is colored green to prevent laser reflections

My new favorite color, for obvious reasons. Great Tour.

1998+: 301 cd, 302 cd, 861 cd, powerDAC, 130/150 adc

Thanks for that Jeff. I'm on my third Wadia rig in as many years, and it's cool to see the release dates. I started with a 12 DAC, went to a 8/15 combo, and now I'm up to a GNSC modded 850.

Looking at that list however begs the question....what do you have up your sleeve for the 2000s? I know the 861se is newish, but can we expect a NEW cd player/transport any time soon?

For those of you NOT familiar with the 'Wadia Sound' do yourselves a favor and beg/borrow/steal one for a weekend. You'll never own another digital front end...

CptTripps and ampgalore,

someone on AudioAsylum asked me the same thing. Here's the reply:

Sorry, I have to leave it at that for now.

As a previous owner of a Wadia 301, I'd say picking up a used one is a great audio bargain. I found the DAC on it to be excellent, approaching my Audio Logic 2400 when using the 301 strictly as a transport.
