Hi all,

I would like know what soundcard is the best for computer?

I'm mostly listen music using itune and most of my music are ripped at apple lossless format.

my budget is around us$100- 200.

also, do I need a amp if I use computer to listen music ??

Welcome to Head-Fi, sorry about your wallet.
It's tough to get a "best" answer. Best is what's best for you. I'm a huge fan of the Emu cards, the 1212m and the 0404. Each of those have their fans.
For $25 the Chaintech AV-710 gets a lot of good reviews, I haven't heard it, but how could you go wrong for $25? There are other higher end cards that I'm not that familiar with that you can find out about by doing a search.
How good a card you get can be determined by the headphones you use. You didn't say. I think the Emus can be overkill for some lower priced headphones.
Will you NEED an amp? That depends on the card and the headphones you're using.
Give us the cans you're using and how much you want to spend. We'll triple it and get you started in this hobby.

my os is windows XP (currently using a Audigy Z2 sound card but want to upgrade it) and I'm using Grado SR80.

Chaintech AV-710 is fine for Grados, but its lineout is a little on the weak side, so an AirHead, PortaCorda, or CMoy wouldn't be out of place.
