The codec that comes with MusicMatch Jukebox only allows that for the maximum bandwidth level. Any less and you get your stereo channelling totally screwed over (not that the stereo channelling is all that well preserved in MP3 compression anyway -- but why make it worse). The result being an odd 'warble' that happens in many recordings. This is especially true if you go to anywhere below 12kHz bandwidth.

I wasn't talking about the MD.. I was talking about the ripping of MP3. A digital audio card will automatically sample the bandwidth *up to* the 44.1kHz standard.
