6F8G==>6SN7 Adapter need some help

hello everyone im trying to make this adapter. however i am using this link to understand what to do http://www.review33.com/m2/forum_msg.php?db=1&topic=20050423101410&start=6525&sort=1&number=11574 i see that he is grounding some of the pins and i would appreciate some detailed info into making this adapter. thank you in advance

This is a damned awkward adapter to build, given that 6SN7s are available new. These tubes aren't 100% compatible.
 
If you must do this, look at the datasheets. They have a list of pins and corresponding tube functions as well as the diagrams. You just have to wire the corresponding pins together.

There are some really nice 6sn7 types (specific brands/construction) with nice sound that are (were) much less expensive as 6f8g.

That being said, if the op is asking what to ground he should just buy it built and save the trouble of blowing up his amp.

Did you get this figured out? It’s not as difficult as y’all are making it and not sure why you think he’s “grounding” any pins….
