This is a comparison review of universal products U12t and U18t on 64 audio. Quite a few people will be wondering what the difference is. We've covered reviews of both products before, but this time we'll look at the differences between them that we're already familiar with. Consider your sound preferences and your favorite sound genres to see which ones are right for you.
Fit is no difference. The shell size and nozzle length are the same for both products.
design
As the product name suggests, the U12t has a total of 12 drivers consisting of 4 bass, 6-bass, 1 middle, treble, and 1 treble. U18tS consists of 8 bass, 8 bass, 1 heavy, 1 heavy, treble and 1 treble, consisting of 6 more 18 drivers. The difference is that the midtone area is further expanded. So are there many differences in sound?
The U18t, with its 9 ohm impedance and 11 dB sensitivity, is a little more easy to source and drive, whereas the U12t's specification is 108 dB sensitivity at 12 ohms.
Sound
Bass
The amount of bass is more revealing on the U18t. You may feel thicker than the U12t or more pronounced in your expression. Especially if you're into hip-hop, you'll find the U18t's charming bass. The details of the sound are as esthat, and you can immediately see that the U18t has more sophisticated sound nuances, especially the sound of strings. For example, in low frequency zones, the cello's sound resolution feels slightly better, and you can hear the solid sound that rings every time a line touches. And the U18t is richer than the U12t, and the instrument is more colored to better achieve its overall characteristics.
Mids
The differences between the two products are the most revealing. Definitely at U18t, you can feel more of the body and presence of the medium and bass areas. Rock-inspired pop music and rock have made U18t sound, body and warm, while U12t focuses more on vocals. This is a lot of personal preference, so you can buy it according to your favorite tendencies. I personally like the feeling of coming from a wide, heavy body, so the U18t fits my inclinations better. However, others may prefer the U12t's dynamics, which, conversely, are more vocal.
Treble
The treble is actually excellent for both products. But likewise, you can experience more tones on the U18t. For example, if you play a violin solo, the delicate degree of sound echo is a little more dominant in U18t. Of course, this difference is not very extreme, but I think it's a bit of a difference to compare. If you're very sensitive and demanding, you should go to U18t.
Soundstage
There is actually little difference in the soundstage of the two products. The U18t is very finely advantageous in terms of sound stages because it has a richer sound and a clearer representation of the instrument's sound, although it is almost identical because it feels so similar in width, length, and width.
summarization
If you're looking for a neutral, more detailed in-ear monitor, the U12t looks more appropriate. But if you care more about tone and sound body, go to U18t.
