When I lived in France I purchased an Accuphase e-213 Integrated Amp to go with my pair of Dynaudio Special Twenty Fives. I noticed that the drivers sound blown at high volume so I went to a stereo store to purchase new drivers and I was told that even though I am running my Accuphase through a 110v-220v converter that my Accuphase is blowing my speakers. This sounded somewhat absurd because if the voltage is being changed then there should be no problems and if there was an error the amp would blow not just my speakers. He is essentially telling me that even though I am using a voltage converter that my speakers blew, even though my amp did not. Is this correct or not? I suspect the drivers broke during the move.
