added to that:

There should also be a Senn HD-650 (with equinox) and with Jan Meier's new HD-600 replacement cable. A modded Sudgen Headmaster, a modded Corda HA-1 (ala Kurt W mods but with blackgates caps extra). Rotel RCD-971 CDPs, Ultrasone HFI-650 etc ad naseum. Grado RS-1 will also be showcased. Zolt is also on the cards and well as an Emmline amp (sorry I really don't know which one as yet).

This meet is a combo meet of Head-Fi and Sgheadphones so you'll need to be a member of both unfortunately.

Cheers

1) Security reasons. We need full name for signing in the members into the Poly Guild Hosue (the location of the meet). The only way to get verification.

2) Head-Fi Meets in Singapore have become more of an SGHeadphones Meet as such you do need to be a member of sgheadphones at least.

3) There's an entrance fee of S$15 for rental of the 2 rooms.

Counter clockwise from the top of the table. My description below the respective photos. (Forgive the quality of the photos, they were taken in a rush)

DSCN1638.jpg

Most of av98m's stuff with someone's DT931 & HPC's groovy Leica Digital Camera!

DSCN1630.jpg

Some of my stuff next to mackie's which I forgot to take photos off, DOH!!!
Note Ablaze's ex-CD3K making an appearance, so he was at the meet in spirt!

DSCN1641.jpg

Scriberex's Shure e3c. Thanks for allowing me first go at it! Ety ER4 owners need not worry too much about the e3c. However for it's intended purpose it is quite good. Microphonics is near unnoticeable with music playing while walking (looped over the ear). Fairly easy to put in & seemed fairly comfortable.

DSCN1631.jpg

Guyferd's Musical Fidelity A3 CDP (which I didn't get a chance to sample) next to...

DSCN1632.jpg

cmk's nice sounding Melos. Sounded good with the AT L3000 & CD3K. Closed phones never sounded so expansive. Fantastic sounding Diana Krall DVD audio on the Toshiba player.

DSCN1633.jpg

I think some of mychew's stuff plus someone elses & tropicalrips nude CMOY! Sounded pertty good to me. The gain seemed low for high impedance headphones like the DT250 (250 ohm - still one of my favourites). I had the volume knob all the way up to 12 o'clock.

DSCN1634.jpg

lekguan's stuff. His precious D777 & the much maligned DT431 (because of the peeled off paint on the driver!)

DSCN1635.jpg

The Boss! (Rameish's) stuff. (Guyferd's) stock Corda HA-1 vs modded HA-1 on Rotel CDP. Next to...

DSCN1636.jpg

Barradio's stuff. Pesudo Cyrus player LOL! Modded Naim Headline & 'antique' AKG K340 next to...

DSCN1637.jpg

Headphonecrazy's Consonance Cyber30 (which I missed out on) next to (I saved the best for last, IMO) lengcm's Consonance CDP, heavily modded Sugden & Firefox's wonderful sounding "Big Ben" DIY amp! I liked it best with the L3000 (W2002 & CD3K sounded good on these too). Fab vocals man! I also prefer the modded Sugden over the Melos.

Man, it's unfortunate that I'm only in Singapore during the summer... are you guys planning another meet then? I'd love to attend one of these meets!

I'm a newbie to the area.
Just bought a HD650 @ S$690.
wanted to buy a audiophile orientated sound card from either M-audio or Terratec.
But found non after scanning through SLS an SL tower.
my ideal soundcard will be an external one like the latest M-audio firewire audiophile, but an PCI audiophile 2496 is not bad if price is much cheaper.
Any one here can advise me on where can I get these cards (and headphone amps) locally?
Thanks a lot.
