Yar, in this case, the Nano will reign superior.

I'm not so conviced as you.. Please note you're talking about the ipod nano 1 gen, not the shuffle.

Creative Zen Stone is the worst sounding DAP I have heard so far - any iPod will blow it away IMO. Heck, even my old generic Chinese 1Gb MP3 player sounds noticeably better than the Stone.

Hey,

Well I just went through the creative mp3 forum and they seem to have consistent problems with their zen product line-up. I would recommend iPod just because of this.

To give you an example, most zen micro's freeze on the startup screen and the only known fix is to hit it on the floor... Moderators "do not recommend this" but don't provide any other solutions. (This is by the way the problem that everyone is reporting)

While you say most, perhaps I am those few lucky Zen Micro users did not encounter this? My Zen Micro has been with me for years.

Hi all,

I just thought I'd share my views in the two players, after being an owner of apple ipods for years with many different generations. I find that Ipods tend to be highly uncustomisable sound wise as I have not found an EQ that I'm satisfied with. My previous mp3 player was the Sony HD5 but due to screen failure I can't use it, however the sound quality of the sony is far superior to an unamped ipod. Nano's are known for extreme portability and the gen 1 can be firmware customised. (www.ipodwizard.net)

Sorry english is my second language and re-reading I can see my poor choice of words to carry out what I wanted to say. Let me word it badly but, I hope, more clearly:

Usually when a zen micro has a problem, that problem is the player freezing at the startup screen.

Update on my little problem: Zen micro now in pieces and I'm going to go buy a new hard drive (flashdrive or something similar)
