Hey guys i just found a pair of old MX500 shell Lenovo branded earbuds, generic ones that came with an old cheap lenovo android phone. I plugged them in and started listening to them and i am impressed how sweet these sound in the mid range, subbass is non existent but for acoustic or alternativ rock they sound pretty good, the problem is that the right driver has a rattle on bassy tracks and also has lower volume. I think these are a tad mroe difficult to drive than my sennys HD560 so i asume they are high impedance or low efficiency.
Id like to replace the drivers with something better, i know that earbuds are crap at bass but are there any drivers for the mx500 housing that provide a little bit of subbass? also i dont want to lose the sweet lush mids.
What type of 15.4mm driver should i look for on ali? berilyum, titanium, nano carbon etc?
