I'll be gaming and listening to a.lot of music with either headphones, what one is overall better?

 
If this setup is for just sitting in front of a computer, I say to get the ATH-A900X.
My A900X where my preferred headphones for about a year.

yep, and maybe bring to some LANs

 
It helpful to change the "memory" of the springs that control the wings of the A900X.
Place the wings way down towards the cups, leave that way for a few nights
Helps keep the headphones cups from sliding down and resting on your ears.

When it comes to ATH-AD900x's i recommend a loose elastic hairband.
 
Also you can bend the wires to make them suit your head more, there's a video of how to do it on audio techninca's homepage but i couldn't find it.
