I have talked to Sennheiser India, this will be launched in other countries soon.

From the specs the driver seems to be the same as in the 569.

Whatsapp me to learn more. I own a pair of these along with the regular ivory ones.

Cable goes into the earcup with what seems to be a twist to secure. Does that mean random 3.5mm replacement cable won't work?

Yes, it's a proprietary cable but I believe you can find some 3rd party/custom cables that may fit.

A common aux cable with 3.5mm plugs on both sides might have a chance to fit without any minor modifications and be secure, in case one can't look for a 3rd party upgrade cable?

The headphone end looks to be a locking 2.5mm, not 3.5mm. If it's the same as the regular HD 598 cable, which it appears to be, there are plenty of replacements available.

Thank you for the quick confirmation.
Could you suggest a worthy upgrade cable below $40, if you believe in cables? I just want to experiment once.

I only used the stock cable when I had my 598's, so I can't really give any personal recommendation

Sorry, more questions:

The headphone end socket is a 4-pole connection with two grounds (like Oppo PM-3)?
Could I use a 2.5mm TRRS cable for a balanced connection?
If it is indeed 4-pole, is the pole configuration same as HiFiMan players or AK players?

Yes, it's a 4-pole connection - Left Audio, Right Audio, Ground and Mic

The images for the HD 569 and the HD 598 Cs show they are different.  The headband for the HD 598 Cs looks exactly the same as the HD 599!

Well, they look different, but the technical specs (freq. response, impedance, SPL, THD) on Amazon US (598 Cs) and Sennheiser site (569) show that they are identical (569 and 598 Cs).  Since 569 is $70 cheaper than 598 Cs, it's the one to go with, unless one thinks the looks of the 598 Cs are worth the extra $70.  The 599 has better technical specs than either 569 or 598 Cs.
