I'm thinking of buying myself a dac, specifically the hegel hd11. The question is: do I need it and will it give me an audible difference from my current setup.
Im listening to at least cd-rips through my Cambridge Audio Stream Magic 6 v2 connected via rca to my Musical Fidelity M1Hpap headphone amp, meaning I'm using the dac in the Stream Magic, twin Wolfson 8740 I believe.
Buying the Hegel dac I'm thinking going coax from Stream Magic to Hegel Hd11 and then rca from hegel hd11 to MF M1Hpa.
The thing is I have gotten hold of a pair of Audeze lcd xc,'s and I want to give them a good source for them to show their full potential.
