I remember Audio Visions where I bought my Vandersteen speakers from and my first high end stereo from Audio Research and the Audio / Video Den where I got my Magnepan speakers from along with so much other gear - I think Audio Den is still around- but man visiting shops on days off all started for me when I was 10 years old going to Crazy Eddie and the WIZ. LOL - I eventually went to every single high end store I could get to from Long Island and NYC and then even NJ (I still visit Audio Connection in NJ) ! When the audiobug gets you for the pursuit of great sound- it never leaves you-

Which ones did you get? I still own Vandersteens the 3ASignatures which Richard personally sent to me himself much latter on! and lol Monster- they all used to push upgraded cables - I guess they still do cause they do make some audible changes

Oh, man, that was 35 years ago... I remember I paid about $800 for them, they looked like the Model 1Ci+. That was 1987.

If you liked the CMA12.. theres also the little brother CMA400i which sounds exactly the same but with a bit less voltage output. Also a new CMA15 is out.
