I highly agree with the review~ I've been using bad boi for a little over a month now. Paired it with my Xduoo XD-05+ as a DAC. All I can say is... damn... this boi brings out a lot of details and have a big soundstage The sound is quite neutral to me with some shaved off sharpness at the top because of the tubes. You still get sparkles that doesn't hurt your ears

Used it with a Hifiman Sundara and Acoustune HS1695ti. It's definitely usable with an iem but lower your PC volume than up the amp cause there is a channel imbalance at the start until roughly 8:30 - 9:00. It'll be blastingly loud after that hahaha Even with the Sundara, 12:00 is the max I would go.

further updated -I am still loving this amp even more now as I continue to use it...

can recommend dampening tube rings if using speakers nearby to isolate any vibration but it is really a slight difference and not really necessary but can improve the amp even further

I have mine over a few weeks and all I can say if you are considering this at $99 I say just go for it... I got mine from APOS but I can say anywhere you buy just buy it- it is worthy of the price and then some - plays absolutely quietly and has no interference from side by side set up as seen above the linear Apache power supply. It is a miracle that we can get this kind of sound for so little $ - very very recommended... I also wanted to add it plays beautidfuly with my IEMs so long as master volume is lowered. No noise or hiss- crazy if you expect more frm something so cute and affordable like this... LOVE IT!
