I will be interested in your opinion when you have the opportunity to hear the Russian isodynamic headphones, the Kennerton Odin, compared to your HE-1000 with the Viva Egoista 2A3 amp or the Eddie Current Studio amp.
In France, there is currently a craze for the K. Odin (which is appreciated just as well with the Viva Egoista 2A3 than 845); the craze for HEK seems less (sample problem?) because considered for listen as too soft and too vague (even with Egoista 845) compared to the Abyss and the K. Odin; an opinion like yours would be useful to make sense of things.
Thank you. Kennerton will be at RMAF in Denver, Colorado during the first week of October. I hope they will bring the Odin. Some have suggested this is a heavy and uncomfortable headphone. Do you agree?
Hi,
I personally can not answer immediately (I await the receipt of my headphones from one day to the other); when I receive, I will liken him, of course, with my LCD3-F (Nb: for the latter, I had to redeem extension rods because of my big head).
According to the testimonies of those who have listened the Odin, this is indeed a heavy headphones (in the hand) (as heavy as Abyss) but ingenious design of its headband makes it lighter to wear: I quote: "- the headphone: quality materials (wood, leather, metal), exemplary finish, simple adjustment system and so ingenious, weight result in hand but felt lighter than LCD-X once on the head, less sensation of confinement / suffocation, nice design "
