Great review of an outstanding IEM!
I agree with your points about comparing earphones and headphones. That said, I always like to go back to my Erlky when circumstances call for a mobile or low noise emitting model.
Regarding the price development in the high-end sector, it would actually be time for us consumers to make a statement by not buying. At the moment, I can't imagine paying the price called for the Traillii. But that has already been said so often...

always love to read other people's thoughts on the erlky. it is an absolute masterpiece from ve, along with the Elysium.
...and yes, listen to the traillii if you can. The traillii competes much more strongly with the technicalities of some of the other OTE headphones you mentioned...it is remarkable. it's the first iem I've heard since erlky that made me feel equally engaged with the music and equally impressed with its cohesive and detailed presentation.
traillii price is also going up to $6600 may 1 in the US...ridiculous.
