A very nice review. I am especially intrigued because I have the N30 and N40 myself. I found the N40 to be very V, with vocals quite behind in the mix. However, the Highs and upper mids can be a bit fatiguing on certain tracks - they are very much emphasized and sharp. Do you feel the same? Also, do you feel that the N40 has good extension in highs? Not comparing to anything, just in general.

Yes, I agree that it sounds V-shaped and that it can sound fatiguing- I usually had to use the EQ. At the same time it was my first step up into that price bracket and I liked them. As far as extension- as much as I read that word in reviews unfortunately it’s not one of the terms I actually understand or could explain to someone.
