I have to agree with this review. In my demoing, I thought it was a surprisingly good sounding speaker. It filled the room very well and the bass never clouded the mid-range. Build quality is also excellent

I found that I liked the Beats Pill XL better. I wanted to like this, but just found the sound was muddy in comparison. Probably the lack of stereo separation. Pity the Beats Pill XL is now on recall from Apple

Just a random question, how does the UE Boom fair with violins/string instruments? The UE Boom was featured in Lindsey Stirling's "Master of Tides" and it would be quite interesting if it stringed instruments were one of UE's strong points.
