Good review and I can agree for most parts, though I found the bass not that dominant compared to the SE846 (the UE18 has just more mid-bass and ground-tone, hence it sounds "boomier"). However, I highly agree that the mids are their weakest point, I also found them a bit coloured and not as natural sounding as they should be.
What I'd like to add though is that they have a really nice and large soundstage (e.g. more width and depth than the discontinued UERM).
