Thank you for this, it openned up possibilities for a clean powersupply.
But correct me if I am wrong:
- I believe this units main function is to isolate sensitive hospital equipment, from surges and spikes that can otherwise damage expensive equipments.
- EMI/RFI cleanup is just an added feature, frankly 256mV reduced from 1100mV is areduction of 12dB which although respectable, is far short of advertised 60dB+.
For Hifi, benefits of this device is limited - frankly using a $10 filter section from a plasma tv sold on ebay, can manage the 12dB filtering and spike protection in a much smaller, affordable package. see this sample.
