@Brooko I'm mainly a mid-head and the mid-range on the Atlas; while it looks good on paper, was just "off". The upper mids sounded nasally and the lower mids had an unnatural timbre. After coming from BA bass on the Orion I also had a real tough time adjusting to the sluggish bass on the Atlas. Even with the purple filter the bass response felt a little forced and focused on a central thump versus spread-out dynamics.

@k4rstar - thanks for that. Delta V2 bass is still dynamic (it won't match BA speed), but less volume than Atlas.  I have the feeling you'd like this mid-range - doesn't have the peaks of the Atlas. I'll have a think about what might be similar and if I come up with anything I'll give you a yell

Nice review, thanks! Does Trinity Audio offer replacement cables for these? I would prefer the the braided cable without the mic as a spare.

Hi Bruce - you could PM Bob or email their store to ask. They're usually pretty approachable.

What type of lens are you using for the X3ii w/E17k ? Macro or standard 50mm lens ?
Just getting 55 macro lens (Nikon) from a friend.I will do some shots with wy gear to!
Yes, a good softbox is indispensable.

Well done, Sir. Your graphs have really become invaluable.
Sorry to see no comparison to the Q-Jays. Your thoughts?

Thanks gents
@Blazer39 - I'll leave that one up to Bob.  No doubt I'll get to hear them at some stage.
@Skullbox - it's actually just a pretty cheap Canon EOT Rebel T3 with a standard 18-55 lens. Takes a while to get the shots right, and a lot of the time I wish i had better gear - but for the low cost it works pretty well. Lightbox definitely makes the difference.
@shane55 - I'll compare them tonight when I get home. Tried to compare inititally to IEMs with tunable filters or which were hybrids within a comparable range.  Can definitely put them against the q-Jays later though

I haven't been posting here lately but great review as always, Brooko!  I'm probably going to get these in the next couple months.  With a five-star review from you, I'm pretty sure I can't go wrong with 'em.

Excellent customer service too. I ordered the Delta V2 and was accidentally sent the original Deltas so I emailed Bob at Trinity and he immediately sent out the V2s for me.

@Brooko i've been reading your reviews on trinity products, very well written, however i'm having a hard time deciding which trinity to buy. i've narrowed my choices to delta v2 & hyperion, i'm a basshead and i listen to hip-hop, r&b, edm, tropical house and the likes, i prefer an all-over strong bass while maintaining its clarity & detail on all other areas. which one can you recomend or prefer?? :)
