Hi, which filter setting did you use for this review? It could possibly have contributed to the excessive warmth experienced

I used the default which is the fast linear apodizing. I think it’s probably something to do with the internal amp. I didn’t have a chance to output to another headphone amp to test the DAC alone.

so can I use a normal balanced 4 pin XLR cable to the unbalanced XLR headphone out? I know it shouldn't be a problem but is there anything else you want to point out other than the XLR out being there just for convenience? thanks for the review
