Thanks for the detailed review! I have a low impedance IEM (<10 ohms) and I think the high output impedance of the E35 is not suitable for it. Do you plan to review the ibasso dc03 too? It is a very similar DAC to the E35 but appears to have a much lower output impedance. I am very interested to know your opinion on the sound quality of the ibasso and how it is compared to the E35. Looking forward to read your next DAC review!

Thank you.
I don't think review the ibasso dc03, but I will review the Hidizs S9 Pro. I haven't measured its output impedance yet. But I want to warn you that my measurements are empirical and very simple, maybe the real impedance of the E35 is lower than I say.

Thank you for the info! The Hidizs is a little too expensive for me :triportsad: . Looking forward to read your review!

Cqtek, have you try to use E35 with amplifier (for example such as Topping L30)?

You mean connect the audio output of the E35 to the input of the L30? I would never do something like that. cascading amps? What is your purpose? Maybe I'm misunderstanding.
I had the L30, but it was one of those that could be faulty and I returned it. Although, to tell you the truth, its sound didn't say anything to me at all. Now I have an iFi Zen Can, it's different.... But it has balanced input and output and more power.

Sorry that I do not make it clear.. I mean, with better power or with better control, is there any improvement if we use E35 with additional amplifier.

In my view, amplifier is sometimes useful not just to increase gain but for impedance matching.

As I say, I'm not a big fan of using a device that has no line output as a source for an amplifier. I understand that you want to reduce the output impedance, which, on the other hand, I don't know if the measurement I calculated is really true. I base that calculation on the maximum output. I might try it at a more realistic voltage and see what comes out.
But back to the beginning, I don't like to link audio outputs to amplifier inputs, can something happen? In theory no, because line inputs have very high impedance and demand little current. But a line output is not the same as a headphone output. In theory, line outputs should provide lower distortion values since they are not amplified.

ok, I got your points... yes they are valid... thanks
