Wall of text: worth reading it. Agree with most things; no experience (like the mentioned cables and other IEMs) with others :wink: .
Sure I followed your and others opinion on it; bought it afterwards: no regret.

I agree with quite a bit of your review, and it's a long one. My only point of contention being the comparison with the the Penon 10th which I own. I find the Tansoi X to be superior across the board. But different ears and all that. Just wanted to mention if people who haven't heard either that some prefer the charms of the Tansoi X with it super dynamic bass.

@PeacockObscura,
That’s so cool that you love the X more than Penon’s 10th. And I tried to elude to that in the review, that simply people will like different stuff in the end. Cheers.

Great review. The TMSR X has no harshness to my old ears and like you the Penon 10th is my favourite IEM...'one ring to rule them all'...with a good copy it does every genre. The TMSR 10th is a fine IEM. As per usual...great photos. Love your descriptive use of language.

@dharmasteve,
Haha, thank-you. I'm actually stripping this review down a few sentences, as it may be too cumbersome to read? Anyways, yes we are both on the same page in regards to the Penon 10th being great, and the X being fine. Cheers!

Thank you for the great review!
So, can you tell me now, please, how does this one compare to the NICEHCK HIMALAYA?
Looking forward to your honest opinion!

@Nick24JJ,
Thank-you so much. The Himalaya is a single DD of full-range capability. So it will come off ever so slightly more natural and honest. Plus vocals get a smidge of more Himalaya positioning. Yet both are extreme examples of the very level of the IEM art today. Where the X bass is maybe a little deeper and holding Hybrid dislocation, so the Himalaya is more neutral with extremely subtle V leanings, with low end thickness. Though the 1/4 ounce of metallic sheen the X does could be a welcome and embraced feature, the Himalaya is simply slightly more real, yet the tonality of the X is close behind.

@Nick24JJ,
There is also the issue where both have this borderline nozzle length, where the Himalaya is maybe 2X more heavy, and (a little bit) bigger in your ears. But the Himalaya allows me to use my shorter (depth) ear-tips, so maybe the nozzles are slightly better? I do know one thing, the Himalaya has a full-on nozzle lip, which the X does not. Both are incredibly balanced and careful in their stance, and holding almost equal stage size, also probably equal in entertainment/immersion level?

Thank you, @Redcarmoose ! I will receive the HIMALAYA around April 17 and then I will need a week or two to burn them in.
My gut tells me, I will fall in love!
We will speak again under your review of them.

@Nick24JJ,
The gut instinct is real, and often totally correct! Enjoy!

What ear pads did you use during testing? Stock ones?
