How do you like the timeless ae ? I hear that it isnt worth the price as its timeless with a bit of a bass boost?

This will be my first expensive iem, so I am a bit confused

Also what was the launch price for timeless ae ? In my country the timeless ae is quite expensive.

@tubbymuc I actually like the Timeless AE more personally, due to the synergy with larger portion of my music library. I got it at a discounted price during the launch day on 11.11 last year. At the current price, it's definitely not worth it. However, I don't think the Timeless AE is "just a Timeless with a bit of bass boost"... The treble sharpness is reduced and you get a better modular cable. I guess if the AE has similar price jump as Wu Zetian to Heyday ($50 difference), it would be easier to recommend.

About the rest of your selection, really depends on your source. What are you planning to drive your IEMs with?

I have a fiio btr5 the first gen one. I too listen to large amount of jpop library along with many other stuff like alt rock, rock, instrumental, rock, etc.

The ae in my country costs like 290$ after taxes. So its quite expensive, I was also considering the Aful performer 5, heyday and the s12 pro.
