Awww, I was watching this IEM for a long time, but seems it is basslite from your review. Does it take well to EQ for the bass frequencies? If not the basshead in me may have to look elsewhere.

Ironically I've found them to be excellent for techno despite the rolled off sub bass because the bass imaging and speed is so good, but it took some careful tip rolling (if you still have the red core Penon tips that came with your D10 try those) for bass and treble - my one disapointment was that I cant use my Azla Xelastecs with them - upper mids resonance kicks in and makes them a little too sharp, but if I narrow the bore width it smooths out perfectly...not a problem I'm used to with v shaped tunings as there's a lot more room for peaks to move without hitting my sensitive spot.

@baskingshark yes, I personally like my bass quantity but not as much as you I think. So you might find it to lack even more bass quantity than me. If you use it with acoustic songs though, it shoulnt be a problem. The oxygen really shines for those songs. I will play around with EQ a bit and get back later.


@illumidata Thanks! Yes, aside from the bass quantity being a bit too low for my taste. It is more than capable to play EDM/Techno due to how good its technicalities are. I used the type E´s since they tighten the bass and reduces treble peaks for me and also due to comfort/fit.

I will have to get hold of some final Es, they are rarer than unicorn **** in the UK!

@illumidata You can buy the Final Audio E1000 and you get the Type E´s with you (all sizes too). Great deal I think, as the iems have a really good sound profile (still looking for an upgrade for them as they are the only iem I consider "true" neutral).

How is it compared to KXXS? Is the Oxygen a superior iem in terms of technicalities?

@TEKKU No comparison at all. The Oxygen already sounds more natural and therefore better for me than the Blessing 2 and the Blessing 2 is better than the KXXS in almost every way.

@RikudouGoku Bro does the Oxygen have reverse polarity? Read that somewhere, so maybe if we wanna use aftermarket cables with it, they might need to be reversed (ie have to get standard sets without ear hooks or angled connections)?
