Does this have a true line out that bypasses the dap's amp and where the volume is only controlled by the external amp once plugged in?

@Jmop - It is hard to say, but most probably yes, because it sounds rather clean and detailed. Most of the time, if it was not true LO, it would inherit more noise and distortions

Ah, ok good to know, and about the volume? Does volume on the player stop working once it's plugged into an amp?
