Sorry, I have not heard the X2 so can not say for sure. I did own the L2 though and ended up trading it. The L2 is a more traditionally balanced sounding headphone with similarly gentle treble. But lacking the bass and midrange qualities I love about the Z7. Maybe see if you can read any comparisons between the X2 and L2 to help decide or post your question in the main Z7 in case some one else has heard both.
"Sony has NAILED this signature." Oh man, they really did! It's impressive how thick and full sounding some instruments can be, like you are being fed an ear full. This is a headphone you NEED to experience as SONY is doing some magic behind that frequency response.
Agreed here, I quite like the sound coming out of these cans, still for the price, I think you pay a tad too much for it. And it sounds a bit closed in. Still thoough you kinda made me regreatt not aduutioning these cans for longer.
Thank you Dweaver for the review. I finally re-pulled the trigger on these, there will be here soon so no turning back now. My only worry is that I like solid impact. We will see what happens!
