Ugh mine broke.
They were missing a screw, so the plastic that fastens the earcup to the headband just snapped.
And they were bought new, so the build quality or QC on these is really quite bad. Not recommended.
I use mine for several hours every work day and have never had a problem with them in more than a year. I'd say your case is an exception, not the norm. Did you contact Shure for warranty support?
I thought the sound signature was bad in general. It had too much bass, although an amp balanced it out a bit.
If you can find a pair used it might be worth it, but if you buy it new keep your receipts for god sakes.
I mean it took me a couple months just to make the sound actually bearable to listen to.
I could only listen to it for voice on youtube videos during this time.
And by the time I had adjusted to its sound it breaks. What a joke.
I was so pissed I literally ripped my headphones apart. Otherwise I'd totally send them back for warranty support
