They are an extremely warm IEM. I noticed this after getting into the SE series. It seems the deeper you get with them, the hotter the sound sig gets, and the more odd the sound signature becomes.

I couldn't disagree more with this review.  After three months of ownership and heavy use I can't relate to any of the issues raised.  These are open, detailed, and natural sounding with good treble extension and effortless, balanced bass.  They are extremely revealing of issues with source components and media though.  It was only through the 425s that I picked up on the differences between 320K MP3 and FLAC.  Funny how we all perceive things differently.
