@Wyd4 I assumed you meant that the AK was better in all other technicalities (wifi, ui, etc.) but that based on sound alone the Alien gives a good competition. I'll update the review based on what you just said. Thank you for letting me know!

As I an both links in the ak100ii section I would like to say I am flattered you quoted me.
I also need to say that yes, while I did say I found myself reaching for the Alien, I did also say and stand by the ak100ii being better in every way. The alien has a fun sound and a form factor that makes it an easy go to. My favourite daps as it stands at present are the ak100ii, cayin n6 and lotoo paw gold. The alien is just great to chuck in your pocket and go. For that purpose I am yet to find better. And lets face it, for $170 you wont get better sound from a dap
