Hi @puppyfi
Having a more open, airy sound, the M2 catches your attention faster than the M3. I think it's a sound that will appeal to more people upon immediate listen, whereas the M3 takes a bit longer to appreciate, does it not?
M2 isn't the product Shanling would put all those features in, though. I'm guessing they'll reserve those for the M3 mk2 and/or M5.
My hope is that Shanling tries to pull off something like the FiiO X7 because at the rate they're is improving, I think Shanling would nail it!

Your review on M3 mentioned that the M3 "is the most neutral sounding I've heard to date. That can have its pros and cons. On the plus side, you hear what you're supposed to be hearing. On the negative side, if you're switching back and forth between DAPs the M3 can sound a bit flat / boring."
Do you still feel the same on M2, since it is now sounding brighter, airy and brighter than M3?
Also, I do agree that in M2 (form factor, sound and price point), Shanling has a very attractive product.
Ii will be fantastic if it can also offer dual card slots (like xduuo-x3) and balance out (like N5)
