What's really sad here is that this review  and the allegedly impartial detailed review of the IE800 posted on the German site,  hifi-forum were written by the Marketing &  Key Account Manager of Rhines Custom Monitors, direct competition of the IE800, so much for impartiality and honesty! Having been banned by Head-fi under the name Ultrazino he now goes by HuoYuanJia, a Chinese martial artist and at least now identifies himself as employed by Rhines Audio and therefore directly profits by all the negative reviews of IEM's he has posted since 2009!

Who would buy an IEM that had "unfavorable sound tuning, weird and poor treble reproduction" when they could instead buy the IEM Ultrazino markets, the STAGE DIVER SD-3?

Is this statement describing the IE800 really true,
"compared to some other (cheaper) in-ears, I think the performance of the Sennheiser is inferior (especially treble)." or is it a way to dissuade people from buying his competitors product?

I spend time on this site because I enjoy reading other people's opinions about products they have used and I have assumed that for the most part, they are just hobbyists like myself offering their (financially) unbiased opinions to help the community, not to defame their competitors products.

So when you read this and other comments posted by the marketing and accounts manager of Rhines Custom Monitors which was formerly called Compact Monitors‘ before it became two companies, the other is now called Vision Ears, remember that his comments/opinions/impressions are not necessarily impartial.

Here is a link to a British review of the IE800 which Ultrazino didn't write:   http://www.whathifi.com/review/sennheiser-ie-800

It ends with the following conclusion which I'm sure Ultrazino wouldn't agree with:

Sennheiser IE 800 review: verdict The Sennheiser IE 800s are superbly made, brilliantly accomplished in-ear headphones. If you can justify the cost, and if your source player can justify it too, we think you’d be hard-pressed to find better. At any price.
