I'm not a fan of the HD 700's sound either. Used to own it. But it looks so cool and has such great comfort as well that I may end up adding it to the collection again someday.

1/2 star review of Senns HD700 after 5min of listening at head-fi social meet.  Sounds like a hate at first sight

It's easy to be hated and deserves to be hated because it works for 1-2 genres only. IMO of course.

This is exactly the type of reviews that give Head-Fi reviews a bad rep. Reviews like this should be taken off by moderators. Let's see, listening to one song from one amp? But I'm a classical music expert, I've heard it played live! Lol

You listened to it for a couple of minutes at a meet and didn't enjoy it... no offence, but this is hardly a review. Perhaps you should ask this to be removed, for the sake of your reputation. It's often best to post "meet condition listening sessions" as impressions.

I'm not a fan of Senn's TOTL headphones either but you've got to be joking about this review, per all the above comments.

I was straightforward about what I heard and how. Is this an exhaustive review? No. But a serious impression. Back and forth between the Senn and the old AKG K-340. I said it was surprising what I heard. But I also suggested that the reader not simply take my word for it but go listen and compare himself. Sorry, but if a phone cannot reproduce a big orchestral piece I'm not interested.

Definitely something off there????...and it shouldn't be the 700s.
