Years ago I was in a recording studio of a very famous Musician and we listened to a digital recording and a Studer A800 MkII Tape side by side.
(The Studer is a 2' Analog tape recorder Takato) And both Ian and I were blown away by the difference. He had just bought the latest and great digital Studio Machine. Most of the Album that the band released was off the tape! Digital was used for some of the harder mixed parts. We both made a decision that day that Digital was not yet perfect.
All I stated is that on my system, Mark Levinson ML-9 Amp, amd ML10a Pre, Proac Response Two/Target stands, Two Vandersteen Subs, Shotgunned MH-750 Music Hose and a Linn Sondek LP-12 with a separate Power Supply and every imaginable upgrade...There was Not One CD Player that I could tolerate...That is not a stupid statement..
This is the First DAC that I have listen to in my system that has everything right. The Timbre, Timing, Texture, Depth, Height and Slam.
So Sorry that you do not respect other people's opinions.

@ USAudio...I guess the people on this forum that have not heard "harsh" digital are just not old, or not educated enough (audio wise) to have heard a serious Analog vs. Digital comparison when the industry was struggling to make digital sound good. Digital has always been more "convenient" and an incredible space saving storage format. But not until recently has it started to sound good enough to listen to critically unless you spent so much you could have bought a new Mercedes.
With Guys like Mike Moffat and Jason Stoddard sounding and designing equipment, the Price/Performance ratio of good sounding digital is now down to an affordable level.
I think every one should listen to other people's opinions without criticism...You May learn something if you have an open mind!

OK, this is aimed at takato14, but everyone should read and WATCH THE VIDEO at the End.  The problem with the young guys on the forum shooting their mouths off about things is that they were not alive when Music Recording/Reproduction was in it's heyday. My statement that I could not listen to "digital" was a true one and now all these world class Musicians agree. This is the reason I now listen to only flac files through the Gungnir.
Looks like we are on the verge of a Music Reproduction Revolution(For The Masses).

I have put funds into Kickstarter...Everyone on here that values music in their life should as well. And maybe the Young people on this forum will finally be able to hear sound like us old timers remember it!

Thanks for taking the time to write your comments about this DAC. To compare it against good quality LP sound is a powerful piece of logic. Stronger yet is your comment about selling your LP12. I'm using an MHDT Paradisea tube DAC from 2007 which sounds good but is most likely dated technology and I'm going to consider this Schiit DAC based on your write-up.
